Assam Police Constable Exam Pattern 2025

At first, candidates must clear the Physical Measurement test and the Physical Efficiency Test to be called for the written examination

Medical Standards & Document Verification

Candidates must be free from knocked knees, flat feet, squint eyes, and color blindness. They should be physically and mentally fit, without diseases like diabetes, heart, or respiratory problems. Vision must be 6/6 in one eye and at least 6/9 in the other, with normal near vision. For document verification, candidates must bring original certificates along with self-attested copies during PST & PET.

Physical Standards

The PST has no marks, and candidates who fail it cannot appear for the PET. The PST checks a candidate’s height, weight, and chest (for males). A doctor also does a quick medical check for knock knees, flat feet, varicose veins, vision issues, and other physical problems.

Physical Efficiency Test- 40 marks for Constable (UB) & 60 Marks for Constable (AB)

Constable (UB) PET carries 40 marks, while Constable (AB) PET carries 60 marks (because of the extra chin-up event). The marks distribution is as follows:

Written Exam Pattern 2025

Candidates will be called for the Written Test based on merit, at 5 times the number of available posts. The written exam will have 100 multiple-choice questions for a total of 50 marks. Candidates will get +0.5 marks for each correct answer, and there is no negative marking. The difficulty level of the exam will be of Class 9 and 10.
