The AP TET (Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test) is organised to assess the eligibility of candidates for teaching roles in schools across the state of Andhra Pradesh. As this is the eligibility test, no cut-off marks are released. Candidates have to score more than the AP TET Qualifying Marks to qualify for the exam and will be issued AP TET certificates, which will be valid for a lifetime.
AP TET Cut Off 2026
The AP TET 2026 for the July Cycle exam will be conducted in online mode from 5th to 21st August 2026, with a total of 150 marks per paper, and there is no negative marking. The exam assesses candidates’ understanding of child pedagogy, teaching methodology, and subject knowledge relevant to the level of teaching they intend to pursue. AP TET Passing Marks 2026
The AP TET qualifying marks are determined based on different categories to ensure fair assessment: candidates in the General category must score 60% (90 marks out of 150), those in Backward Classes (BC) need 50% (75 marks), and candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD, or Ex-Servicemen categories must secure at least 40% (60 marks). These marks apply to both Paper-1 and Paper-2.

AP TET Qualifying Marks for candidates belonging to the OC-EWS categories require them to score a minimum of 90 marks out of the total 150 marks in the respective paper they are appearing. A minimum of 60% marks is required to pass the AP TET Exam.
AP TET Qualifying Marks for BC
The qualifying marks for candidates belonging to the BC category require them to score a minimum of 75 marks out of the total 150 marks in the respective paper they are appearing. A minimum of 50% marks is required to pass the AP TET Exam.
AP TET Qualifying Marks for SC/ST/PwBD
The Qualifying Marks for candidates belonging to the SC/ ST/ PwBD & Ex-servicemen categories have to score a minimum of 60 marks out of the total 150 marks in the respective paper they are appearing. A minimum of 40% marks is required to pass the AP TET 2026 Exam.
