The Crime Investigation Department, Andhra Pradesh, are inviting interested and eligible candidates for the post of Home Guard for technical and other trades. A total of 28 candidates have been selected for posting at the Director General of Police, CID Headquarters, Mangalagiri and at 7 Regional Offices of CID, AP.

AP CID Home Guard Eligibility Criteria 2025

Before applying for the post of AP CID Home Guard, Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria, documents and other requirements. Local Resident 

The Local candidates who have studied for over 4 years in any local institute of Andhra Pradesh are eligible to apply for the post of Home Guard. Both male and female candidates can apply for this post.

Educational Qualification

Candidates who have completed their degree in computer science are preferred more than candidates who have only passed the Intermediate.

• Candidates must have passed the Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent from a recognised board.
• BCA / B.Sc., (Computers) / MCA / B.Tech (Computers), Other IT-related qualifications.

Age Limit (As on 01/05/2025)

• Minimum: 18 years (The candidate should be at least 18 years old.)
• Maximum: 50 years (The candidates should not be more than 50 years old.)

Candidates are advised to check their height measurements before applying for this post. The Physical Measurements will be different for both male and female candidates.

2. SSC/Matriculation Certificate (for proof of age)
3. Intermediate Certificate (10 +2)/ Equivalent

AP CID Home Guard Selection Process 2025

Candidates who are applying for this post must be aware of the Selection process of the Home Guard. The selection process consists of three stages such as Document Verification, PMT and skill test.

1. Shortlisting of Application Forms– After submission of the Application Form, it will be checked for eligibility criteria.
2. Document Verification– The Original documents of the candidates will be verified.
3. PMT (Physical Measurement Test)– To check the height measurements of the male and female candidates.
4. Skill Test (Technical & Driving Test)– Proficiency in Computer Skills or any certificates. And the Practical Driving Test will be conducted.

AP CID Home Guard Salary Structure 2025

The shortlisted candidates for this post can get a duty allowance of Rs. 710 per day. The candidate will get the Monthly Salary of Approx Rs. 21,300 (if working all 30 days).
