RRB NTPC UG Exam Analysis 2026 (7 May), Difficultly Level & Good Attempts

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has started the examination on 7th May 2026 for Undergraduate Level post and in today’s first shift, thousands of candidates have their exam scheduled. After the completion of the exam, our faculty has connected with the candidates coming out of the exam hall and understands the difficulty level and type of questions asked. Based on the feedback, the first shift was of “Easy to Moderate” level with a few questions time consuming.

RRB NTPC Undergraduate Exam Analysis 2026

Based on the difficulty level and safe score, candidates with exams scheduled in the coming days and shifts can get an idea of what could be asked in their shifts. The CBT 1 Exam is scheduled to be held over 11 days, from 7th May to 21st June 2026, with a total of 33 shifts (3 each day). There were a total of 100 questions asked in the exam from the following sections-

  • General Awareness- 40 Questions for 40 marks
  • Mathematics- 30 Questions for 30 marks
  • General Intelligence & Reasoning- 30 Questions for 30 marks

In the RRB NTPC UG computer-based exam, candidates are required to answer 100 questions within a time limit of 1.5 hours (90 minutes). Since there is no sectional timing, candidates can manage their time effectively by quickly completing the sections they find easier and then dedicating more time to the sections they find more challenging.

Shift 1 of RRB NTPC 2025 started at 9 am and concluded at 10:30 am. Candidates reported that the exam in 1st shift was easy to moderate.

RRB NTPC Undergraduate Shift Timings

RRB NTPC Exam 2025 has been scheduled to be conducted in 3 shifts from 5th to 24th June 2025. In total, there will be 48 shifts, and more than 50 lakh of candidates across the nation are going to appear in the exam. The 1st shift starts at 9 am and ends at 10:30 am, the 2nd shift is from 12:15 pm to 2:15 pm, and the 3rd shift is from 4:30 pm to 6 pm.
