Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has released the JTET Notification and Application dates for Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test 2026. JTET (Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test) is a state-level eligibility exam conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for teaching positions in primary (Classes 1–5) and upper primary (Classes 6–8) schools across the state. The application process, including registration, document upload, and fee payment, will be conducted entirely online through the official website from 21st April 2026 onwards.

The detailed notification for Jharakhand Teacher Eligibility Test 2026 has been released on 28th March 2026 at the official website www.jac.jharkhand.gov.in. Candidates who are interested in applying for the eligibility test this year must go through the official notification PDF and press release uploaded by Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC).
Jharkhand TET 2026 Exam Summary
Candidates must note that only B.Ed and D.El.Ed-trained candidates are eligible to apply for the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test. The validity of the certificate received after qualifying the test is for a lifetime, and there is no restriction on the number of attempts.

As mentioned in the notification, online registration for Jharkhand Teachers Eligibility Test will be carried for a month period from 21st April to 21st May 2026. Jharkhand TET Exam Date is yet to be announced.

Jharkhand TET Eligibility Criteria 2026
Candidates need to be eligible for the JTET 2026 exam as per the eligibility norms specified by the official authorities. The eligibility criteria for Papers I and II vary and are specified here below. Age limit and educational qualifications are considered for evaluating eligibility for teacher’s posts in primary and upper primary classes.
For Paper I
The first paper for the Jharkhand TET examination will be held for candidates who want to become teachers for classes I to Vth. So, the eligibility criteria for Paper I are specified below.

JTET 2026 Application Fee
While submitting the application forms, candidates will be asked to fill out the examination fee/application fee as per their respective categories. Those belonging to primitive tribes have to pay Rs. 600/- while applying for both primary and upper primary classes.

How to Apply for Jharkhand TET 2026?

- Open your web browser and then visit the official website of Jharkhand Academic Council, Ranchi i.e. https://jac.jharkhand.gov.in/jac/
- Now, start searching for JTET 2026 “Apply Online Link” and click on it.
- You are now redirected to the registration form-filling portal.
- Registered yourself by entering relevant details along with a working e-mail ID and mobile number.
- Once the registration is completed, log in to the application portal and start filling out the JTET Application Form 2026.
- Now upload the necessary documents such as photographs, signatures, mark sheets, and other required certificates.
- After proceeding further, you are redirected to the payment gateway. Pay the application/examination fee as per your specific category.
- Now, submit the JTET Application Form and take a print of the same.
