The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released an official public notice dated 24th February 2026 regarding the 21st Edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET-2026). As per the official CBSE notice, CTET Paper-II could not be conducted at the two Vaishali, Bihar centres on 7th February 2026 due to administrative reasons. Now the re-exam date for these two exam centres has been announced for 1st March 2026. After the re-exam is conducted successfully, the official CTET answer key and result will be declared.
CTET Answer Key 2026 Delayed
As per the official public notice issued by CBSE, the CTET Paper-II examination at two specific centres in Vaishali district, Bihar will be conducted separately on 1st March 2026, ensuring that all affected candidates get a fair and equal opportunity to appear in the 21st CTET Edition. Due to this, there has been a delay in the release of official answer key.
Why is the CTET Answer Key 2026 Delayed?
Lakhs of candidates who appeared in the CTET 2026 Exam are now questioning why the CTET Answer Key is delayed. As the examination is not conducted for all candidates, there is a delay in the release of the answer key. Candidates are expected to wait until all examinations are concluded and afterwards, the provisional answer key will be released.
Based on this timeline, the CTET Answer Key 2026 is expected to be released after 1st March 2026, once the re-exam is successfully conducted. Candidates who appeared on 7th and 8th February 2026 must have to wait a bit longer to cross-check their responses officially.

What to Expect After 1st March 2026?
Once the re-exam is conducted on 1st March 2026, the CBSE will release the CTET Provisional Answer Key for both Paper-I and Paper-II on its official website www.ctet.nic.in. Candidates will also be allowed to raise objections against any answer in the provisional key.
