Bihar Police Havildar Clerk Selection Process 2026

The selection of BPSSC Havildar Clerk will be based on the following stages:

  • Written Competitive Examination (Qualifying): The written examination will be conducted in pen and paper mode for 100 marks
  • Physical Efficiency Test: Candidates qualifying in the written exam will be eligible for the physical efficiency/qualification test conducted by the commission.

The merit list for selection will be based on total marks obtained in the physical efficiency test (race + high jump + shot put).

BPSSC Havildar Clerk Exam Pattern 2026

The exam pattern for Havildar Clerk is as follows:

  • The written exam will be at the 10th class (Matric) or equivalent level of the Bihar School Examination Board.
  • The duration of the exam is 2 hours.
  • There will be 100 question asked in the exam
  • Each correct answer gives you 1 mark
  • Candidates scoring less than 30% in the written exam will be disqualified from the physical efficiency/qualification test.
  • Based on written marks, candidates will be shortlisted for the physical efficiency test at a ratio of 5 times the vacancies for each reserved category.
