Lakhs of candidates who have completed Class 10 (Matriculation) from a recognised board have applied for the vacancies. Now the candidates who have applied have to appear IB SA Exam 2025 which is to be held on 29th & 30th September 2025.

IB SA Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Education Qualification
- The candidate must have done Matriculation (10th class pass) or equivalent from a recognised Board of Education
- Possession of a domicile certificate of the state against which candidates have applied.
Essential- Knowledge of any one of the local languages/dialects mentioned in the notification PDF against each SIB.
Age Limit (as on 17/08/2025)
To apply for Security Assistant/executive posts, the candidates must not exceed the age limit of 27 years. The age relaxation for reserved categories is as follows-

IB Security Assistant 2025 Selection Process
The IB Security Assistant/Executive selection process comprises three stages:
Tier I (Objective Test):
- This online, objective-type examination uses Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
- It covers topics such as General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Numerical/Analytical/Logical Ability, English Language, and General Studies.
- The exam is a total of 100 marks and lasts 1 hour.
- There is a negative marking of ¼ mark for each incorrect answer.
Tier II (Descriptive Test):
- Candidates who pass Tier I move to this stage.
- It is an offline descriptive test that includes translating a 500-word passage from a local language/dialect to English and vice versa.
- This section is 40 marks, and the duration of the exam is 1 hour.
- The Security Assistant/Executive post specifically includes a spoken ability test, worth 10 marks, which is assessed during Tier III.
- The Tier-II exam is qualifying in nature. The qualifying marks in Tier-II is 20 out of 50.
Tier III (Interview/Personality Test):
- Candidates who qualify in both Tier I and Tier II are called for this round.
- This stage assesses the candidate’s personality and suitability for the role.
- It carries 50 marks.
- The final merit list is prepared based on the combined performance of candidates in Tier 1, Tier 2, and interview rounds.
The final selection for the post would further be subject to successful completion of Character & Antecedent verification, followed by Medical Examination, etc.

IB Security Assistant 2025 Exam Pattern
To score well in the IB Security Assistant exam, candidates must have an idea of the exam pattern for exam. The exam consists of a total of 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions for a total of 100 marks. The exam will be held for a total of 60 minutes, and there is negative marking; a 1/4 mark will be deducted for the wrong answer.
The Tier-II exam is qualifying in nature. The qualifying marks in Tier-2 are 20 out of 50.

IB Security Assistant 2025 Syllabus
- The IB Security Assistant syllabus has been released for all three stages, which are Tier 1, Tier 2, and an Interview.
