King George’s Medical University (KGMU) has released an official notification for Nursing Officers on its official website, www.kgmu.org. A total of 733 vacancies for Nursing Officers will be filled through a common recruitment test. Eligible candidates who have filled out their application form from 26th April to 31st May 2025 will have to now appear for the Common Recruitment Test, for which the KGMU will announce the KGMU Nursing Officer Exam Date 2025 soon at their www.kgmu.org. 

KGMU Nursing Officer Notification 2025 Out

King George’s Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow, has released the notification for the recruitment of 733 Nursing officers on its official website, www.kgmu.org. The KGMU Nursing Officer Notification contains important information such as educational qualifications, age limit, selection process, and salary for the recruited candidates.

Candidates will be selected through the Common Recruitment Test (CRT). The test will be conducted for 100 marks and must be completed in 2 hours and candidates have to score the minimum qualifying marks. For General/OBC/EWS candidates, the minimum qualified percentage is 50%, while for SC/ST candidates, it is 45%.

KGMU Nursing Officer Eligibility Criteria 2025

Candidates who wish to apply for the KGMU Nursing Officer Recruitment 2025 should ensure that they meet the educational and age requirements specified by the King George’s Medical University (KGMU). If they do not meet these standards, they will be disqualified from the recruitment process.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have one of the following classifications-

1. B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing or B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council (INC)-recognized institute/university,  or B.Sc. (Post Certificate)/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an INC-recognized institute/university, and must be registered as a Nurse & Midwife with the State/Indian Nursing Council.
2. Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) from an INC-recognized institute/university, with registration as a Nurse & Midwife and a minimum of two years of experience in a hospital with at least 50 beds.

Age Limit (As of 1/01/2025)

Candidates must be between 18 to 40 years of age to apply for the recruitment.

Candidates must pay the application fees to complete the application form. Candidates belonging to the UR/OBC/EWS have to pay Rs. 2360 and other category candidates need to pay Rs 1416.

The exam pattern for Nursing Officer has been tabulated below-

1. There are 100 questions asked from five subjects.
2. Each question carries 1 mark
3. 1/3 of the mark will be subtracted for each incorrect answer.
4. Candidates must complete the exam in 2 hours
5. The minimum qualifying marks are 50% for candidates belonging to the General, OBC, and EWS categories, while candidates from the SC and ST categories must score at least 45% marks.

The salary of a Nursing officer in King George’s Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow, ranges from Rs. 44,900 to Rs. 1,42,400 under the 7 pay scale. The salary includes all perks and allowances as per the government norms.
