UPSSSC ASO Selection Process 2026
The selection process of an Assistant Statistical Officer goes through multiple stages. The first stage of the selection process is shortlisting of candidates on the basis of UP PET score, then the written exam, document verification, and medical examination.
- Shortlisting of Candidates: The first stage of selection is shortlisting of candidates on the basis of the UP PET score 2025.
- Written Examination: Shortlisted candidates based on UP PET score will be called for the written exam. The written exam consists of 100 questions in three parts. The written test will be conducted for 100 marks.
- Document Verification: Those candidates who qualified for the written exam will be called for the document verification. In this stage, candidates should represent the original document to verify all the required details.
- Medical Examination: After the successful verification of documents, a medical examination will be conducted by the recruiting authority to test the medical fitness of the candidate.

The selected candidates for the posts of Assistant Statistical Officer and Assistant Research Officer will get the salary according to Pay Level 6.
