UPPSC Exam Date 2024 Postponed
As per the officials, the UPPSC Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services (PCS) Services Preliminary Examination – 2024 which was scheduled for 17th March 2024 has been postponed due to unavoidable conditions. Now the exam is to be held in July 2024. The UPPSC PCS Admit Card will be released 7 to 10 days before the exam date along with all exam-related information. Selection of the candidates for UP PSC Vacancy (various administrative posts) will be based on the performance of the candidates in the UPPSC Prelims exam, mains exam, and Interview examination.

UPPSC PCS Vacancy 2024
UPPSC has announced the number of UP PCS vacancies along with the Official UPPSC Notification 2024. Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has introduced 220 vacancies for the UP PCS 2024 exam. Last year, the vacancies for the Combined State Services Examination were 250.

Steps to Fill UPPSC Application Form 2024
Anyone interested in applying for UPPSC Application Form 2024 must follow the given below steps to successfully submit their UPPSC online application form 2024. Follow the below steps for filling application form for UP PCS 2024.
Step 1 Candidates must visit the official website of the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission(UPPSC) at www.uppsc.up.nic.in.
Step 2 Click on the “Recruitment link given in the head bar and select “Apply Online”
Step 3 Click on the Apply Online link and a new window will be opened on the screen
Step 4 Select the UPPSC PCS 2024 exam and press the Apply button.
Step 5 First complete the UPPSC PCS registration process by providing the relevant details.
Step 6 Now pay the requisite application fee.
Step 7 Fill in any other relevant detail if required.
Step 8 Upload the scanned documents as asked in the application form.
Step 9 Press submit to complete the UPPSC PCS application form 2024.
Step 10 Take a printout of the same for future reference.
Note: The candidates must make One Time Registration (OTR) and obtain OTR Number before applying online. Without an OTR Number, the submission of an Online application will not be possible. Those Candidates who have not obtained their OTR Number must obtain it from the commission’s website https://otr.pariksha.nic.in 72 hours before the submission of the Online application. Only after obtaining OTR Number, a candidate submit an online application through the commission’s website https://uppsc.up.nic.in.

UPPSC Notification 2024- Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must apply after reading the eligibility criteria to appear in the UPPCS PCS 2024 exam: Candidates who do not fulfill the eligibility parameters of their application and selection will be rejected at any stage of the selection process. UPPSC Upper PCS Educational Qualification
For the posts included in the Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services Examination, the candidates must possess a bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University or equivalent qualification up to the last date for receipt of the application.
This must be mentioned by the candidate in the relevant column of their application form but for some posts, specific qualifications have been prescribed details of which are given below:-

UPPSC PCS Age Limit (as on 01/07/2024)
Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have crossed the age of 40 years on 1st July 2024. The candidates must not be born before 02 July 1984 and after 01 July 2003. The age relaxation for the reserved category candidates is provided below:

UPPSC PCS Physical Measurement Test
UPPSC Physical Measurements will be applicable according to Service Rules/requisitions, for the post of Superintendent of Police, Superintendent of Jail, District Commandant Home Guards, Excise Inspector, and Deputy Jailor. Applicants will be screened for the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) i.e. Height, Chest, and weight. Before applying for the above-mentioned posts candidates should ensure himself/herself that they possess the above physical standard.

UPPSC PCS 2024 Selection Process
The selection of the candidates for UPPSC PCS 2024 will be based on the candidate’s performance in all 3 stages of the selection process i.e. prelims exam, mains exam, and interview. Qualified candidates in the prelims exam will be shortlisted for the main exam and candidates who clear the mains exam will be called to appear for the last stage of the selection process i.e. Interview exam.

UPPSC PCS 2024 Exam Pattern
The UPPSC PCS exam is a three-stage exam and the candidates need to appear in the UPPSC PCS prelims exam followed by the mains exam and interview (Personality Test). The prelims exam is an objective type exam comprising two question papers.
UPPSC 2024 Prelims Exam Pattern
- The Prelims exam of UPPSC PCS 2024 is an offline mode of examination having 2 papers in different shifts.
- The total marks allotted for each paper is 200 and the total time allotted for the completion of each Paper of Prelims exam is 2 hours.
- The total number of questions in Paper-1 (General Studies I) are 150 while Paper-2 is of 100 marks.

Important Points:
1. Paper II of the Preliminary Examination will be a qualifying paper with minimum qualifying marks fixed at 33%.
2. It is mandatory for the Candidates to appear in both the papers of the Preliminary Examination.
3. The merit of the Candidates will be determined based on marks obtained in Paper I of the Preliminary Examination.

The UPPSC PCS Main written examination will consist of six compulsory and two optional Papers. The time allotted for each paper is 3 hours. The Pattern & and syllabus for the main examination is provided below:

Personality Test (Interview)
The Personality Test (VIVA-VOCE) will constitute 100 marks. The test will relate to the matter of general interest keeping the matter of academic interest in view and for general awareness, intelligence, character, expression power/personality, general suitability for the service, some general knowledge questions and current topics.
UPPCS 2024 Salary/ Pay Scale
The pay scale of all posts under the combined state services is Rs. 9300-34800 Grade Pay Rs 4600/- (except Naib Tehsildar whose grade pay is Rs. 4200/-) to Rs. 15600-39100/- Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-
