The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has released the official notification for the UPPSC PCS 2025-26 Exam to recruit 200 vacancies through the Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services Examination-2025. The selection of various administrative posts is going to be done through Prelims, Mains and Interviews. UPPSC Mains Exam Date 2026 Out

A total of 11727 candidates have qualified for the mains exam. The official schedule has been released on 24th February 2026 Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) at the official website of http://uppsc.up.nic.in/. As per the schedule, the mains exam for prelims-qualified candidates is to be held from 29th March to 1st April 2026. The exam will be held in two shifts (9 am to 12 noon and 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm)

As per the scheduled plan, the official notification of the Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services (PCS) Services Examination - 2025 for Advt No. A-1/E-1/2025 has been released by UPPSC to recruit 200 UP PCS Officers vacancies. UPPSC PCS Vacancy 2026

UPPSC has announced the UP PCS vacancies along with the Official UPPSC notification pdf. Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has introduced 220 vacancies for the UP PCS 2026 exam. This year, the vacancies for the Combined State Services Examination are 200.

Educational Qualifications for UP PCS

For the posts included in the Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services Examination, the candidates must possess Bachelors Degree of any recognised University or equivalent qualification up to the last date for receipt of application. The post wise educational qualification is given below:

(ii) Registration in the concerned Bar Council or the affiliated Bar Association recognised by the Bar Council of India and two years practice experience certificate
issued/Certified by Bar Council/Bar Association.

5Technical Assistant (Geology)

Essential Qualification:-

(I) A master's degree with at least 50 percent mark’s in Geology or Applied Geology or Diploma in Applied Geology from Indian School of Mines and Applied Geology, Dhanbad.

(ii) Preferential :- Research experience or field training conducted by Geological Survey of India

6Technical Assistant (Geophysics)Post graduate degree with at least 50 percent mark’s in Geophysics, Applied Geophysics, Geology or applied Geology (with physics, Mathematics at the B.Sc. level) from a university established by law in India.
7Tax Assessment OfficerGraduation Degree in Commerce or Economics with 55% marks from a university recognized by Law in India.

Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have crossed the age of 40 years on July 1, 2025. The candidates must not be born before 02 July 1985 and after 01 July 2004.

UPPSC 2026 Selection Procedure

The UPPSC prelims and mains exam for UP PCS 2026 will be conducted offline across the state. The UPPSC 2026 PCS selection procedure has 3 stages:

1. Prelims (Objective/ MCQ)

UPPSC 2026 Exam Pattern

The UPPSC PCS exam is a three-stage exam and the candidates need to appear in the UPPSC PCS prelims exam followed by the mains exam & Interview (Personality Test). The prelims exam is an objective type exam comprising two question papers.

  1. The Prelims exam of UPPSC PCS 2026 is an offline mode of examination having 2 papers in different shifts.
  2. The total marks allotted for each paper is 200 and the total time allotted for the completion of each Paper of Prelims exam is 2 hours.

Important Points:

1. Paper II of the Preliminary Examination will be a qualifying paper with minimum qualifying marks fixed at 33%.

2. It is mandatory for the Candidates to appear in both the papers of the Preliminary Examination.

Personality Test (Interview)

The Personality Test (VIVA-VOCE) will constitute 100 marks. The test will relate to the matter of general interest keeping the matter of academic interest in view and for general awareness, intelligence, character, expression power/personality, general suitability for the service, some general knowledge questions and current topics.

In the online application process, after completing the procedure of the first stage, Category wise prescribed examination fee is to be deposited as per instructions provided in the second stage. UPPCS 2026 Salary/ Pay Scale

The pay scale of all posts under the combined state services is Rs. 9300-34800 Grade Pay Rs 4600/- (except Naib Tehsildar whose grade pay is Rs. 4200/-) to Rs. 15600-39100/- Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-

Under the Assistant Conservator of Forest / Range Forest Officer Services Examination the Pay-Scale, grade pay and status of Post are given as below:

Assistant Conservator of Forest- Rs.15600/- to Rs.39100/-, Grade Pay- Rs.5400/-, (Level 10 in the pay matrix Group) Group “B”, Gazetted.

UPPSC 2026 Admit Card

Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission will release UPPSC 2026 Admit Card separately for Prelims, Mains, and interview round. The candidates have to download UPPSC Admit Card 2026 through online mode only from the official website www.uppsc.gov.in. 

UPPCS 2026 Answer Key

Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission also issues UPPSC PCS answer key for the prelims exam within one month of the exam. The candidates can check their answers and can raise objections to wrong answers in the provisional answer key at the official website of UPPCS.

UPPCS 2026 Result

The commission will release the result for each and every stage of the exam on the official website of UPPSC @https://uppsc.up.nic.in/. The prelims result will be released announcing the candidates to be shortlisted for Mains Exam. The final result will be based on UPPSC Mains & Interview Round.
