Tripura PSC ATO Recruitment 2026 Out for 220 Assistant Technical Officer Posts

Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC), Agartala, has come up with a recruitment drive for temporary posts of 220 Assistant Technical Officers Grade B, under the Directorate of Information Technology, Department of Industries & Commerce (IT), Government of Tripura. TPSC has announced 22 vacancies for the posts of Assistant Technical Officer. The vacancies are distributed across various categories, such as Ex-Servicemen, SC, ST, and General. Tripura TPSC ATO Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates applying for Tripura PSC ATO Recruitment 2026 must fulfill the specific eligibility conditions as prescribed by the Tripura Public Service Commission. These criteria include educational qualification, age limit, domicile certificate, and language proficiency.

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have any one of the following qualifications from a Govt./AICTE//UGC recognised Institute:
  (a) Candidates must have completed a BE/B. Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), Electronics, Electronics & Communication, and Electronics & Telecommunication, or
  (b) Candidates should have done graduation in Master of Computer Applications (MCA).
• Candidates should have a Tripura domicile certificate.
• Applicants should also know the Koborok or Bengali language.

Age Limit (as on 05/06/2026)

Candidates must have attained a minimum age of 18 years. The maximum limit of candidates from the general categories is 40 years. Those candidates who are from reserved categories will get age relaxation as per the Tripura Govt. rules, which is discussed below:

The Tripura Public Service Commission requires candidates to pay a non-refundable application fee for the Assistant Technical Officer recruitment, as per their category. Candidates can submit their applications only through online mode at the TPSC website. New applicants are required to complete the online registration before proceeding with the application form. 2. Scroll down the homepage and go to the “Online Application” section and select it.
3. In the next window, look for a link titled “Assistant Technical Officer, Grade B” and click on it.
4. Then, complete the One-Time Profile Registration (OTPR), which is applicable only for new users.
5. After successful registration, you will receive your User ID via your registered mobile number and email ID.
6. Log in using your generated OTPR User ID on the TPSC portal.
7. Fill out the online application form with personal, educational, category, and communication details.
8. Pay the application fee as given for your category using any online payment mode.

Tripura TPSC ATO Selection Process 2026

The selection process for the Assistant Technical Officer posts will be conducted in two stages, to access candidtae’s technical knowledge and overall suitability for the role. The exam pattern for Assistant Technical Officer recruitment is covered through a 170-mark written exam and a 30-mark interview. TPSC will call the written exam-qualified candidates for an interview in a specific ratio. The exam pattern for both stages is discussed below:

The written exam has two papers. The Paper 1 for the General Ability Test covers English, General Mental Ability & Logical Reasoning, and General Knowledge & Current Affairs subjects. Paper 2 includes Job-Oriented Technical subjects and covers topics of Engineering Mathematics, Computer Science & IT.

• The exam will be conducted in offline mode.
• The question paper will contain only objective-type questions.
• The total marks combining both papers are 170.
• The duration of the written exam is 3 hours.
• The language of the question paper will be in English only.
• Each question in both papers will carry 1 mark.
