Department of School Education, Government of Telangana, has conducted the Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test 2026 (June Cycle) to assess the eligibility of candidates for teacher positions in Classes 1 to 8 within the state of Telangana. TG TET exam is held for 150 marks each for Papers 1 and 2. In the TG TET Exam, general category candidates have to secure a minimum of 60 percent marks (90 out of 150), and for candidates belonging to BC categories, the minimum marks are 55%.

TG TET Minimum Qualifying Marks
The TG TET Cut Off marks are the minimum scores that vary according to the category of the candidates. Candidates belonging to the General category are considered qualified in the CTET examination if they secure more than 60% marks in the exam.

Factors Affecting TG TET Cut Off Marks 2026
The board determines the cut-off marks for each category based on the following factors:
- Number of Applicants – As the number of applicants increases, the cut-off is higher and vice versa.
- Difficulty Level of Examination – If the examination is difficult, the cut-offs are usually low, but if the examination is easy to a moderate level, the cut-offs are expected to be higher.
- Marks obtained in the exam – Whether the candidates’ marks are high or low, it encourages the board to set the cut-off marks accordingly.
- Category of Candidates – General (UR), Usually requires the highest minimum qualifying percentile or marks.
