SSC MTS Exam Analysis 2026, 4 February Difficulty Level & Good Attempts

The computer-based test started today for Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff, and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination 2025, and the 1st shift concluded at 10:30 am. Thousands of candidates had appeared in this shift and reported that the exam was of an Easy to Moderate level. Candidates who have their exams in the upcoming days and shifts must check the difficulty level and good attempts for the 1st shift.

As SSC has strictly prohibited the sharing of questions for the SSC MTS Exam, we are discussing the good attempts and difficulty level. 

SSC MTS Exam Analysis 2026 (4 February)

This year, around 36.17 lakh candidates have applied; therefore, the exam has been scheduled from 4th to 19th February 2026 in multiple shifts each day. There were 4 sections in the exam, namely Numerical & Mathematical Ability, Reasoning Ability & Problem-Solving, General Awareness, and English Language & Comprehension. There were 90 questions for 270 marks, and the duration of the exam was 90 minutes.

SSC MTS Exam Analysis 2026 Difficulty Level

The overall difficulty level of the SSC MTS 1st Shift of 4th February exam was of Easy to Moderate level, with English Language & Comprehension being easy. Candidates also reviewed that the questions from General Awareness were comparatively moderate.

The detailed subject-wise analysis of the SSC MTS Exam 2026 is provided below:

Reasoning Ability & Problem Solving

The Reasoning section was considered very easy and highly scoring. Questions were straightforward and involved minimal complexity. As a result, most candidates were able to attempt nearly all questions in this section with good accuracy.

General English

The English section was rated very easy by most candidates, enabling many to attempt almost all the questions. A significant number of questions were based on narration and active–passive voice. Only 2–3 questions appeared from antonyms and synonyms, which was comparatively fewer than in previous exams.

General Awareness

In the General Awareness section, current affairs carried higher weightage. Questions were primarily asked from important events of 2024 and 2025. Other topics included folk dances, major sports events such as the Olympics and Youth Games, and recent appointments across various sectors.

Numerical & Mathematical Ability

The Mathematics section was perceived as difficult by a majority of candidates. Most questions were calculation-intensive and lengthy, making this section time-consuming. Many candidates found it to be the most challenging part of the examination.
