As the SSC MTS exam is scheduled for July/ August 2024, it is necessary to know the Exam Pattern and Syllabus of the exam for effective preparation. As mentioned in the SSC MTS 2024 Notification, there will be a Computer Examination for Multi Tasking Staff and Havaldar. There will be no descriptive paper for SSC MTS from now onwards. Paper 1 will be an online mode of examination that will comprise 4 sections namely Reasoning, Numerical Ability, English Language and General Awareness. There will be a Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) (only for the post of Havaldar).

SSC MTS Exam Pattern 2024: Selection Process

To get a fair idea about the exam, it is necessary to know the exam pattern for the exam. Let’s have a look at the SSC MTS 2024 Exam Pattern and Selection Process:

SSC conducts the SSC Multi-Tasking Staff Exam (MTS) exam every year in different stages:

  1. Paper 1 (Objective test)
  2. Physical Efficiency Test & Physical Standard Test (only for Havaldar)

SSC MTS Exam Pattern: Paper-I

SSC MTS Paper-I Exam Pattern: SSC MTS Paper-I is an online paper having multiple choice questions in sections: Reasoning, English Language, Numerical Aptitude and General Awareness. The entire paper is of total 90 questions and 270 marks. 

The revised SSC MTS Paper-I Exam Pattern has been released along with SSC MTS 2024 Notification Computer-Based Examination will be conducted in 2 Sessions.

Session-I and Session-II and both the Sessions will be mandatory to be attempted. 

Not attempting any session will disqualify the candidate.

SSC MTS Paper-I Exam Pattern: Important Points

1. A total number of marks is 270 as per the latest pattern.

2. Paper- I will be objective type(Multiple Choice Questions).

3. The questions will be set in English, Hindi, and in 13 regional languages for Session-I and the General Awareness Section of Session-II.

4. There will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Session 2 and there will be no negative marking in Session-1.

5. The timing for Visually handicapped cerebral palsy candidates is 45 Minutes each session.

SSC MTS Havaldar PET & PST

The candidates who have applied for SSC Havaldar posts have to appear for the Physical Efficiency Test & Physical Standard Test after qualifying SSC MTS Tier-1 Exam. Followings are the PETand PST standards for the post of Havaldar in CBIC and CBN as mentioned in SSC MTS Notification 2024.
