SGPGIMS Selection Process 2026

The selection of candidates for Nursing Officer and Other Non-Teaching Posts will be based on the following stages;

  • Initial Screening: All applications are provisionally accepted based on the information provided. However, if any candidate fails to meet the eligibility criteria at any stage, their application will be rejected without prior notice.
  • Common Recruitment Test (CRT): A computer-based test will be held for eligible candidates (except for certain Group D posts). The test will be in English and cover both subject-specific and aptitude-based questions. Minimum qualifying marks are 50% for UR/OBC/EWS and 45% for SC/ST.
  • Skill/Technical Test (If Applicable): Posts like Stenographer and Senior Administrative Assistant will require a skill-based test, such as typing or stenography. Candidates will be shortlisted in a 1:3 ratio (three times the total vacancies) based on CRT scores. The skill test is only qualifying in nature and won’t be counted in the final merit.
  • Final Merit List The final selection will be strictly based on CRT scores. In case of a tie, preference will be given based on higher CRT marks, older age, fewer incorrect answers, core section performance, and the earlier date of application.
