The State Bank of India has officially released the applicant statistics for the SBI Junior Associate (Clerk) 2025 recruitment drive through an RTI (Right to Information). With nearly 9.01 lakh registrations for 6,589 vacancies, SBI Clerk is one of the most competitive in India’s public sector banking landscape. The SBI Clerk 2025 data shows that clearing the Clerical level exam is not easy as out of 9 lakh candidates only around 6 thousand are selected.
If the 2025 numbers is huge, the 2026 cycle promises to raise the bar even further and expected that more than 10 lakh candidates will compete for the upcoming vacancies.
SBI Clerk 2025 Applicants’ Data
Out of the 9,00,771 candidates who registered for the SBI Clerk 2025 exam, only 6,43,828 (71.48%) appeared for the Preliminary examination and 2.57 lakh registered candidates did not even show up for the first stage. Of the total number of candidates, only 1,20,006 (18.64%) candidates were qualified for the Mains, and only 1,14,052 appeared in the exam. Through the SBI Clerk 2025 exam under CRPD/CR/2025-26/06, 6589 Junior Associate (Clerk) vacancies were filled.
