What is RRB ALP Psycho Test?
RRB ALP Psycho test is a psychological assessment that is a way to ascertain the performance or conclude the type of personality, behavior, and abilities. It uses a combination of techniques to find out what type of personality the candidate has and also to find out their abilities.

Types of Tests in RRB ALP Psycho Test
RRB ALP CBAT exam will consist of 5 Memory Test, Following Direction Test, Depth Perception Test, Concentration Test, and Perceptual Speed Test.
- Memory Test- A memory test is a tool used to evaluate a person’s memory, especially in cases where dementia, depression, or other conditions are suspected.
- Following Direction Test- This assesses how well a candidate can understand and follow instructions, which is important to maintain safety and efficiency during the operation of trains.
- Depth Perception Test- This test examines the candidate’s ability to accurately judge distances, the skills required to drive a train and ensure the safety of passengers and staff.
- Concentration Test- The concentration test is designed to assess how well a candidate can concentrate and remain attentive for long periods, which is important for the role of Assistant Loco Pilot.
- Perceptual Speed Test- This test measures how quickly a candidate can process visual information and make decisions, an important skill in the fast-paced environment of train operations.
Format of RRB ALP Psycho Test
The RRB ALP Psycho Test will be based on the OMR (Optical Mark Recognition). Answers are marked completely on the answer sheet
Darken the circles that accompany your answers. Use a blue ballpoint pen and remember you are not allowed to change your circled answer. RRB ALP Psycho Test is usually conducted in groups of 35 to 150 candidates. Each test has a specific time limit, about which candidates will be informed at the beginning of the session.
RRB ALP Psycho Test Questions & Answers
RRB ALP Psycho Test consists of 5 tests including Memory Test, Following Directions Test, Depth Perception Test, Concentration Test, and Perceptual Speed Test. There will be no provision for negative marking in this examination, candidates must score a minimum of 42 marks from each test to qualify for further document verification rounds.
Memory Test
In this test, you will be given a map to study and memorize buildings and other structures for some time and asked to indicate the location of these buildings on a test page. Study the following example for some time.
In this test, you will be asked to recall picture-number combinations. After some time you will be asked to leave the test page, which shows the images in a different order.
Following Direction Test
In this test, you will be given a pattern of letters to look at and asked questions about what certain directions would be like to change that pattern. The answer to each question will be one of the letters in the pattern. You have to decide which letter represents the correct answer.
Depth Perception Test
In this test, you will see a stack of bricks in which some bricks will be labeled A, B, C, etc. Your job is to count the number of bricks. He is touching a pile of bricks on which there is a letter. All the bricks are of the same size and shape.
Concentration Test
This is a test to find out how quickly you can compare two numbers and decide whether they are the same or not. If the numbers are the same then blacken the circle ‘Y’ on your answer sheet otherwise blacken ‘N’. Do not make any marks on the booklet. Try solving the following practice problems.

Perceptual Speed Test
This test evaluates how quickly and accurately you can identify and match objects. It measures your ability to recognize differences or similarities between objects within a short time frame.
