PSSSB Craft Instructor Eligibility

Educational Qualification (as on 30/07/2026)

For Craft Instructor (Degree/Diploma) posts:

• 10th pass with Science and Mathematics under the 10+2 system from a recognized School/Board, and
• A relevant Bachelor’s Degree/B.Voc in the concerned engineering discipline (e.g., Mechanical, Civil, Electronics, Chemical, etc.) from an AICTE/UGC-recognized institution with 1 year of relevant industry or teaching experience, OR a 3-year relevant Diploma from AICTE/a recognized Board of Technical Education with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Degree/Diploma holders must acquire the National Craft Instructor Certificate (NCIC) in the relevant trade within 3 years of appointment, failing which their service will be discontinued.

For Craft Instructor (NTC/NAC) posts:

• 10th pass with Science and Mathematics under the 10+2 system, and
• A National Trade Certificate (NTC) or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the relevant trade from a recognized institution, and
• A National Craft Instructor Certificate (NCIC) in the relevant trade, and
• 3 years of relevant industry or teaching experience.

Punjabi Language: As per Rule 17 of the Punjab Civil Services (General and Common Conditions of Service) Rules, 1994, candidates must have passed Punjabi at least up to Matriculation level (or an equivalent examination).

Age Limit (as on 01/01/2026)

Candidates must fall in the age group of 18 to 37 years as of the cut-off date, with standard age relaxations for SC/BC/PwD/Ex-servicemen and other reserved categories as per Punjab Government rules.

2. On the homepage, under the Career section, click on the Online Application.
3. A new page will appear on the screen. Click on ” Click Here to Apply for Various Craft Instructor (Various Trades) Advertisement No. 03/2026.
4. Click on “New Registration” and enter your Name, other personal details, and a valid Email ID and contact number.
5. A unique registration ID and password will be generated and sent to the candidate’s Email ID and mobile number.
6. After successful registration, enter your application number and date of birth.
7. Upload all the required documents, including your passport-size photograph, signature, certificates, etc.
8. Pay the application fees as mentioned category-wise and click on the Submit button.
9. Download and take a printout of the PSSSB Application form for future reference.

PSSSB Recruitment 2026 Selection Process 2026

Candidates’ selection for Craft Instructor posts is based on a single-stage selection process i.e. written examination. Qualified candidates in the written exam will be called to appear for the document verification process.

• Written Examination- Objective-type (MCQ), with negative marking: each question carries 1 mark, and ¼ mark is deducted for each wrong answer.
• Merit List- Prepared based on marks obtained in the written exam. In case of a tie, preference goes first to the older candidate (by date of birth), then to the candidate with a higher qualifying-education percentage, and finally to higher marks in Matriculation.
• Counselling / Document Verification- Shortlisted candidates are called for verification of original certificates related to educational qualification, technical qualification, and reservation category.

The salary for Craft Instructors in Punjab ranges from Rs 15,000 to Rs 30,000+ per month, depending on whether the position is contractual or permanent within government ITIs and schools.
