PGCIL Recruitment 2025 Summary

Candidates applying for the Powergrid Field Engineer and Supervisor Recruitment 2025 must have either a B.Tech degree or a Diploma in the relevant field (Electrical, Civil, or Electronics & Communication). The selection will be done through the Common Fixed Term Employee (FTE) Written Test (both posts) and Interview (only for Field Engineer post).

PGCIL Field Engineer and Supervisor Vacancy 2025

For the Powergrid PGCIL Recruitment 2025, a total of 730 vacancies have been announced for the post of Field Engineer, and 813 vacancies for the post of Field Supervisor. These positions are for various disciplines and regions, and will be filled on a contract basis.

Field Engineer (Electrical)

• Full-time B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc in Civil with at least 55% marks.
• Eligible Discipline: Civil.
• At least 1 year in similar areas as mentioned above for electrical field engineers, but in civil-related work.
• Preference: Same preference for PSU/power sector experience.

Field Supervisor (Electrical)

• Full-time Diploma in Electrical or related fields with at least 55% marks.
• Candidates with higher qualifications like B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech are not eligible.
• Eligible Disciplines: Electrical, Electrical (Power), Electrical & Electronics, Power Systems, Power Engineering (Electrical).
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in:

1. Construction, Testing & Commissioning, or Electrical works in RE, TL, ST, S/S, or DMS.
2. Preference: Experience in PSU/listed power sector companies preferred.

Field Supervisor (Civil)

• Full-time Diploma in Civil Engineering with at least 55% marks.
• Higher qualifications like B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech are not allowed.
• Eligible Discipline: Civil.
• Minimum 1 year in Construction, Testing & Commissioning, or Civil works related to RE, TL, ST, S/S, or DMS.
• Preference: Experience in PSU/listed companies in the power sector is preferred.

Field Supervisor (Electronics & Communication)

• Full-time Diploma in Electronics & Communication, Electrical, IT, or related fields with minimum 55% marks. Higher qualifications are not eligible.
• Eligible Disciplines: Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Telecommunication, Electronics & Electrical Communication, Telecommunication Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year in:

1. Design, Engineering, Construction, Testing & Commissioning, or
2. Operation & Maintenance of Telecommunication Systems.

Age Limit (as on 17/9/2025)

The upper age limit is 29 years as on 17th September 2025, and age relaxation is as per the government norms.

Powergrid PGCIL Application Fee 2025

For the PGCIL Recruitment 2025, candidates have to pay an application fee based on the post they are applying for. The application fee for the Field Engineer post is Rs. 400, while for the Field Supervisor post, the fee is Rs. 300.

The selection process for Field Engineer and Field Supervisor posts under PGCIL Recruitment 2025 is as follows:

Field Engineer: The selection is based on the Common FTE Written Test and Interview. Candidates who qualify the Common FTE Written Test will be shortlisted for the Interview region-wise.

Field Supervisor: Candidates will be selected based on the Written Exam only.

The Common FTE Written Test-2025 for Field Engineer and Supervisor under PGCIL Recruitment 2025 consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs). There will be a total of 75 questions divided into two sections: 50 questions from the Technical Subject based on the BE/B.Tech/Diploma syllabus, and 25 questions from the General Aptitude section.

PGCIL Field Engineer and Supervisor Salary 2025

For Field Engineer

• The monthly pay starts at Rs. 30000 with increments of 3%, up to Rs. 120000.
• Candidates will get Industrial DA, HRA, and perks equal to 35% of the basic pay.
• Total annual salary is around Rs. 8.9 lakhs.

For Field Supervisor

• Rs. 23000 is the monthly pay with increments of 3%, up to Rs. 105000.
• You get Industrial DA, HRA, and perks equal to 35% of basic pay.
• The annual salary is approximately Rs. 6.8 lakhs.
