NIC Scientist C and Scientist D Eligibility 2026

Education Qualification- Candidates must hold a B.E./B.Tech, M.Sc., MCA, M.E./M.Tech, M.Phil, DOEACC B-Level, AMIE, or equivalent degree in specified disciplines such as Computer Science, Electronics, IT, Physics, Mathematics, etc., along with a minimum of 4 years of relevant research/development experience.

Experience- Candidates applying for Scientist-‘D’ must have a minimum of 8 years and for Scientist- ‘C’ must have experience of 4 years of relevant experience in research or development in industrial/academic institutions or science & technology organisations.

NIC Scientist C and D Salary 2026

Scientist-‘C’ receives a pay scale of Rs. 67,700 – Rs. 2,08,700 (Pay Level-11), while the salary for Scientist-‘D’ is Rs. 78,800 – Rs. 2,09,200 (Pay Level-12) as per 7th CPC, plus other admissible allowances.
