Candidates interested in the NCL Mining Sirdar Recruitment 2026 must possess the following minimum qualifications and falls in the required age limit:

Educational & Professional Qualification

For Mining Sirdar- Matriculate + Valid Mining Sirdarship Certificate of Competency (DGMS) + Valid Gas Testing Certificate + Valid First Aid Certificate. OR Matriculate + Degree/Diploma in Mining Engineering + Valid Overman Competency Certificate + Valid Gas Testing Certificate + Valid First Aid Certificate

For Surveyor (Mining)- Matriculate + Valid Surveyors’ Certificate of Competency (SCC). OR Degree/Diploma in Mining/Mine Surveying Engineering + Valid Surveyors’ Certificate of Competency (SCC)

Age Limit (as on 05/08/2026)

The minimum age for candidates applying under NCL Recruitment 2026 is 18 years, and the maximum age should not exceed 30 years, as reckoned on the Crucial Date (05/08/2026).

NCL Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

Candidates will be shortlisted for document verification strictly in order of merit based on their CBT score, subject to securing the minimum qualifying (cut-off) marks. The selection process for Mining Sirdar and Surveyor posts of NCL involves the following stages:

The Computer Based Test will be conducted separately for each post and will comprise two sections.

• Exam Type: The CBT consists of 100 Objective MCQ questions.
• Duration of Exam: 90 minutes (single sitting).
• Marking Scheme: 1 mark for each correct answer; there is no negative marking for wrong answers, and no marks for un-attempted questions.
• Medium: Bilingual (English and Hindi)

Minimum Qualifying Marks

• UR/EWS- 50 marks
• SC/ST/ESM/OBC-NCL- 40 marks
