MPSC Group A and B Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates who are willing to apply for MPSC Group A and B recruitment 2026 must meet the educational qualification and age limit criteria for the post. They can check the detailed eligibility from below:

Educational Qualification

  1. Medical Officer (Group B): Candidates must have completed an M.B.B.S. degree from a recognized university (as per National Medical Commission rules). Their names must be registered with the Maharashtra Medical Council.
  2. Additional Public Prosecutor (Group A): Candidates must possess an LLB degree. They must also have 8 years of experience as an Advocate in the High Court or a lower Court.
  3. Motor Vehicle Prosecutor (Group A): For this post, candidates must have a LLB degree. They also need 7 years of experience as an Advocate after their practice certificate has been issued. This post deals with legal matters related to motor vehicle laws.
  4. Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer/Deputy Director (Group A): Candidates must be ex-servicemen from the Armed Forces. Before retiring, they must have served at the rank of a Major or above in the Army and its equivalent in the Navy/Air Force. They must also be proficient in the Marathi language (read, write, and speak). In case any Major post officer is unavailable, a Lieutenant or above post officer can be considered.
  5. Deputy Executive Health Officer (Group B): Officers are responsible for an administrative role in health services in the state. For this, candidates must have experience as an Assistant Health Officer or any similar role. The exact eligibility depends on the MPSC/MCGM notification.
  6. Deputy Medical Superintendent (Group A): This post requires medical and administrative experience in a T.B. hospital. The roles of this post include Chief Medical Officer, Senior Medical Officer, or Medical Officer.

Candidates filling out MPSC Group A and B application 2026 must pay the application fee either by online payment mode (Credit Card/Debit Card/UPI Payment/Wallet) or by using the SBI Challan. The online fee payment can be done till 9th April 2026 by 11:59 pm. The last day for SBI Challan fee receipt collection is 11th April 2026 by 11:59 pm, and the last date for Challan fee deposit at any SBI Bank branch is 13th April 2026. Steps to Apply for MPSC Group A and B Recruitment 2026

Candidates can apply for the recruitment at the official website of www.mpsc.nic.in. To fill out the application form, candidates can follow the steps that are discussed below:

  1. At first, open any internet browser on your device and go to www.mpsc.gov.in
  2. Now, on the official website, create your profile. You can do that by going to “Online Facilities” and in it “Online Application System.” Register yourself by using your name, email ID, and mobile number.
  3. This will create your User ID and Password. In case you have already registered, then you can log in.
  4. Now, provide profile details. In this, enter your personal, educational qualifications, category, and experience details.
  5. Upload the scanned passport-sized photographs, signature, and other necessary certificates.
  6. Now go to current openings/Apply, and select the correct Advt. Number of the post for which you are applying. Then click on the “Apply” button.
  7. Then fill in the other details of the application, such as post, category, reservation details and exam centre.
  8. Now pay the application fee by online payment mode or offline. In case candidates had chosen the offline payment mode by SBI challan, they need to select the “SBI Challan” option, download & print it and pay the fee in cash at any SBI branch. Candidates must keep the stamped challan safely. The payment status will be updated in the application form in 1-2 days.
  9. After reviewing the filled-out application form, candidates can click “Submit”. It will generate your application number, so note it down for the future.
  10. Download and save or take a printout of the application form.

MPSC Group A and B Selection Process 2026

Candidates selected through MPSC Group A and B recruitment 2026 have to undergo three stages of the selection process. It starts with the Preliminary exam, followed by the Mains exam and an Interview. The selection phases of this recruitment are discussed below:
