Madhya Pradesh Employee Selection Board (MPESB) is responsible for conducting recruitment exams for various government departments in the state and has now come up with Group 5 or Nursing posts. MPESB has announced 2,099 vacancies for the posts of Nursing Officer. In addition, 218 vacancies have also been announced for Sister Tutor posts under the Department of Public Health and Medical Education Class 3. MPESB Nursing Officer and Sister Tutor Eligibility Criteria 2026

To apply for this recruitment, candidates must have studied Science in Class 12 and have done their Graduation in Nursing. They should also be under a certain age group to be eligible to apply.

Educational Qualification

• Nursing Officer: Candidates must have passed Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. They must have completed either a 4-year B.Sc. Nursing course or a 2-year Post B.Sc. Nursing course, with a minimum of 45% marks (with relaxation for the reservation category). They must also have an MP Nursing Council Registration done.
• Sister Tutor: Candidates must have completed Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects. They must also possess a B.Sc. Nursing course or Post B.Sc. Nursing course. Along with this, they must also have experience in B.Sc. Nursing / P.B.B. Sc. Nursing for 1 year.

Age limit (as on 1st January 2026)

MPESB Recruitment 2026 for Nursing Officer & Sister Tutor Posts Selection Process 2026

The selection process for this recruitment is based on a computer-based written exam, which is conducted by MPESB. Candidates who qualify for the exam and meet the respective eligibility conditions will get a final appointment.

1. Online Written Examination: All candidates who have successfully applied for the recruitment will be required to appear for the online exam. After the exam, a merit list will be prepared for different categories.
2. Document Verification: Candidates who qualify for the online exam have to verify the original documents with MPESB.

MPESB Nursing Officer and Sister Tutor Exam Pattern 2026

The exam pattern evaluates candidates’ knowledge in both general aptitude and subject-specific nursing knowledge. The exam will be conducted online and will carry a total of 100 marks. The questions will be in objective-type format.

Note: Candidates from the general category must obtain a minimum of 50% marks, and those from the reserved category must secure 40% marks to qualify for the online exam.
