JKSSB Recruitment 2026 Notification Out for 270 Draftsman, Pharmacist and Other Posts

Candidates aspiring to secure a government job through the Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) can apply for the Veterinary Pharmacist and Draftsman (Civil) positions. The Board has announced that the application process for both these posts will be conducted between April and May 2026 at the official website of JKSSB, www.jkssb.nic.in. The Veterinary Pharmacist has 194 vacancies, while the Draftsman positions have 76 vacancies.

JKSSB Recruitment 2026- Important Dates

Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements for the Veterinary Pharmacist and Assistant Compiler recruitment must fill out the online application from 20th April to 19th May 2026. Candidates who are interested in Draftsman (Civil) Recruitment must complete the registration between 15th April and 14th May 2026 at the official website of JKSSB www.jkssb.nic.in.

Through this recruitment, JKSSB intends to fill the Veterinary Pharmacist and Assistant Compiler vacancies in the Agriculture Production Department. While the Draftsman vacancies are released for both the Jammu & Kashmir Divisions.

JKSSB Pharmacist & Draftsman Eligibility Criteria 2026

JKSSB has laid down eligibility criteria for both the Pharmacist & Draftsman posts in terms of age limit and educational qualification. For the Draftsman position, candidates must have a training certificate. However, for the Pharmacist and Assistant Compiler recruitment, graduate and higher secondary passed candidates, respectively, are required.

The minimum age of candidates for both these posts must be 18 years of age. The upper age limit for the Open Merit candidates in both positions is 40 years. However, JKSSB has provided age relaxation in the upper age limit of candidates for the reserved category.

JKSSB Application Fee 2026

Candidates who want to join the Pharmacist & Draftsman posts under the Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board should complete the application form and pay the application fee. The registration fee payment is non-refundable and must be made through online mode, such as Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking/UPI Payment.

JKSSB Pharmacist & Draftsman Selection Process 2026

The JKSSB selection process for Pharmacist & Draftsman positions takes place through multiple stages. The process involves a written exam, document verification, and a medical examination.

1. Written Examination: This is the first stage of recruitment, which is conducted in an OMR-based format. The final merit depends on the performance of candidates in this round.
2. Document Verification: In this stage, candidates have to show the original documents. Along with this, they also have to bring a self-attested Photostat copy of each document and the online application form. They must show that their educational certificate has been issued on or before the cut-off date, which is 1st January 2026.
3. Medical Examination: All shortlisted candidates have to undergo a medical exam before the final appointment letter is issued.

JKSSB Exam Pattern 2026

The Board will hold separate offline written exams for both Pharmacist & Draftsman posts. The detailed exam pattern for both posts will be released by JKSSB on its official website.

• The exam will contain objective-type questions only.
• The language of the questions will be set in English.
• For every wrong answer, 1/4th mark will be deducted.

Note: The PwBD category candidates possessing the Scribe Certificate will be allowed a compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour of exam.

JKSSB Pharmacist & Draftsman Salary 2026

All candidates who will be selected through this recruitment will be entitled to a fixed monthly salary as per the 7th Pay Commission. They will get an attractive salary package under Level 4 of the Pay matrix for the posts of Veterinary Pharmacist, Assistant Compiler, and Draftsman (Civil) positions.

Note: Selected candidates will also get allowances such as DA, TA, HRA, and other benefits as per the rules of the J&K Government.
