Jharkhand Home Guard Selection Process 2025

The selection process for the Jharkhand home guard at rural and urban blocks consists of many stages. After completing the selection process, selected candidates will be given Home Guard Basic Training after official orders. Once they complete the training successfully, they will be enrolled as Home Guards and given enrollment certificates according to the rules.

• The first stage of the selection process is the Physical Standard test, which includes a 1-mile run, long jump, high jump, and shot put. Candidates who pass the Physical Test will be selected to take the Hindi Writing test.
• The second stage of the selection process is the Hindi Writing Test for 100 marks. This test checks writing skills at the 7th standard for Rural Home Guards and the 10th standard for Urban Home Guards. The test is only to qualify, not for ranking. Candidates need at least 30 marks to pass.
• The third stage of the selection process is a technical skills test will be conducted only for Urban technical skilled Home Guard candidates. Only those who pass both the Physical Test and the Hindi Writing Test can take this test. The test is just to qualify. It has a total of 100 marks, and you need at least 30 marks to pass.
• The final merit list will be prepared after qualifying both the physical standard test, the Hindi writing test and the urban technical skill test. The candidates who pass the medical examination and character verification by the police will be considered eligible.

Jharkhand Home Guard Physical Standard Test 2025

According to the Jharkhand Home Guard Notification 2025 PDF, the Physical Standard Test criteria for urban and rural blocks will be the same. For male candidates, the height and chest criteria will be different, along with their respective categories. For female candidates, the height will be the same for all categories.
