Candidates who have completed a Bachelor’s/Master’s/Doctorate degree are eligible to apply online for the FSSAI Food Analyst Exam 2026. The selection process consists of a Written Exam, followed by a Practical Exam, and then Training. After completing the training, candidates will get their certification on 5th June 2026.

FSSAI Food Analyst Selection Process 2026

Stage 1 – Computer-Based Examination – The FSSAI Food Analyst CBT examination evaluates candidates on subjects related to food analysis, food safety standards, chemistry, microbiology, and relevant provisions of food laws. The exam consists of objective-type questions, and candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks prescribed by FSSAI to be considered successful.

Stage 2 – Practical Examination – Candidates who qualify for CBT will be allowed to appear in the Practical Examination.

Stage 3 – Mandatory Food Analyst Training – Qualified candidates in Practical Examination have to undergo the 2 week mandatory Training conducted by Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).

FSSAI 11th FAE Exam Pattern 2025-26

• All questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
• For each correct answer, 4 marks will be provided
• There is negative marking; 1 mark will be deducted for wrong answers
• Candidates must score at least 50% to qualify for the CBT

Food Analyst Examination Process and Certification Timeline

• After the CBT examination, the answer key will be released.
