CSIR NET December 2024 Important Dates
CSIR NET exam 2024 is conducted by NTA twice a year. The online applications have been started for CSIR NET December 2024 exam from 9th to 30th December 2024. Along with the registration dates the officials also announced the exam date for CSIR NET 2024 exam, which will be conducted from 16th to 28th February 2025.

The online applications for the CSIR NET December 2024 exam are now accepted through the official website https://csirnet.nta.ac.in/. Candidates can also apply online from the direct link shared below. It is advised that the applications are filled before the last date i.e. 30th December 2024 to avoid technical problems at the last moment.
Eligibility Criteria for CSIR NET 2024
Candidates must be aware of the eligibility criteria before applying for any recruitment. Eligibility criteria for CSIR NET 2024 are based on the citizenship, educational qualification, and age limit of the candidate. To apply for this recruitment, the candidate must be a citizen of India.
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have obtained at least 55% marks (for General and OBC) or 50% marks (for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates) in Master’s degree or equivalent examination from a recognized Universities/ Institution.
- For candidates enrolled in integrated MS-PhD program or having B.Sc.(Hons.) degree, at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PWD candidates) are required.
- Candidates who have only Bachelor’s degree are eligible for JRF only and not for Lectureship (LS)/Assistant Professor.
- Candidates who have passed Master’s degree with at least 50% marks before September 19, 1991 are only eligible to apply for Lectureship.
Age Limit
- The upper Age Limit for JRF is 30 years. Age relaxation of up to 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/Third Gender/Persons with Disability (PWD) and Women applicants. 3 years will be relaxable for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer Applicants).
- There is no upper age limit for Lectureship and Assistant Professor
CSIR NET 2024 Application Fee
To complete the CSIR NET December Application Form 2024 candidates are required to pay an application fee. The fee is to be paid online and the fee once paid will not be refunded. Check category-wise application fee from the table below.

Steps to apply online for CSIR NET December 2024
Candidates can apply for CSIR NET 2024 online through the official website https://csirnet.nta.ac.in. Candidates are advised to read the instructions, procedure, and Information Bulletin carefully before starting to fill out the application form.
- Visit the official website of CSIR NET which is csir.net.nta.ac.in.
- On the homepage, click on the Joint CSIR UGC NET – June 2024 – Click on Registration/ Login.
- Register for the Online Application Form and enter the required details. An Application Number and create a password.
- Enter the Application Number and pre-created Password for completing the Application form, including filling out personal details, applying for the Paper, and entering details regarding educational qualifications.
- Upload Scanned Images of the Candidate’s photograph, signature, category certificate /PWD Certificate, and result awaiting certificate (wherever applicable.
- Pay the Examination fee online by using Net Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card/UPI.
- Download and take a printout of the CSIR NET December 2024 application forms for future records.
