Bihar Technical Service Commission (BTSC) conducts the Bihar BTSC Lab Assistant exam to recruit candidates to government institutes under the Bihar state departments. Bihar BTSC Lab Assistant Selection Process 2026

Candidates willing to get selected through BTSC recruitment have to undergo a three-stage selection process. The final selection will be based on candidates’ performance in the CBT and work experience.

  1. Online Examination: In the first selection stage, questions are asked from science-based concepts and subject-specific knowledge. As this stage carries 75% weightage, performance in this round will determine the final selection.
  2. Work Experience: Candidates with relevant experience in a laboratory or any technical role will be awarded marks. For this, candidates must have valid experience certificates. This stage carries 25% weightage for the final merit.
  3. Document Verification: Candidates have to provide original documents of academics, work experience, age proof, category certificate and identity proof to verify their eligibility for the recruitment.

Bihar Lab Assistant Exam Pattern 2026

The Lab Assistant exam is conducted in online mode, containing 100 objective-type questions. In the exam, the question paper will be available in two languages, which include Hindi and English.

  • Candidates will get 2 hours to finish the exam.
  • The maximum marks of the exam are 100.
  • Each question carries 1 mark.
  • There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
