As announced by Bihar CM Samrat Choudary through Twitter, a total of 32388 vacancies are to be recruited this year for Classes 1 to 12. BPSC Teacher Vacancy 2026 (Subject-wise)

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released the vacancy details for the BPSC TRE 4.0 Exam 2026. The vacancies are distributed for Primary Teachers (Classes 1 to 5), Middle School Teachers (Classes 6 to 8), Secondary Teachers (Classes 9-10), and Senior Secondary Teachers (Classes 11-12) posts under the Educational Department and Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribe Welfare Department in the state of Bihar.

Bihar BPSC Teacher Eligibility Criteria

Candidates are required to fulfill the eligibility parameters for BPSC TRE 4.0 Vacancy 2026 to be eligible to apply online for BPSC Teacher Vacancy 2026. In case candidates do not fulfill the eligibility criteria, their application forms will be rejected at any stage of the recruitment process.

• Candidates must be citizens of India.
• Candidates must have passed the Teacher Eligibility Test called from time by the state government or the central government as follows.

• CTET Paper II or BTET Paper II for Middle School (class 6 to 8) teacher
• STET Paper I for Secondary School Teachers (Classes 9 to 10 ) and (Class 6 to 10) and Special School Teachers (Class 9 to 10)
• STET Paper II for computer subject of Higher Secondary School Teacher (Class 11 to 12) and class 6 to 10

Bihar Teacher Educational Qualification for Primary Teachers (Class 1 to 5)

• Candidates must have completed their senior secondary examination/ 12th (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. (OR)
• Candidates must have completed their senior secondary examination/ 12th (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 04 year Bachelor of Elementry Education (B.EI.ED)
• Candidates must have passed 12th (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appeared in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. (OR )
• Graduation with 50 % Marks and 2-year Diploma in Early Education/Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)/B.Ed Special education.

Bihar Teacher Educational Qualification for Middle School Teachers (Class 6 to 8)

Candidates have passed Class 12 pass or its equivalent with an aggregate of 45%. We have tabulated below the detailed educational qualifications required for Bihar Primary Teacher posts.

• Candidates must have passed 12th (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education/4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)/2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). (OR)
• Candidates must have passed 12th (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appeared in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. (OR )

• Candidates have completed a Master’s degree in the concerned subject with 55 % marks with 3 yr Bed-Med Course. (AND)

• Candidates must have qualified CTET/Bihar TET exam

Bihar Teacher Educational Qualification for Secondary Teacher (Class 9 to 10)

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc/B.A/B.Com) course with at least 45% and pass/appear in senior secondary/B. E.D. with a minimum of 50% marks and candidates have qualified for CTET/Bihar TET exam. candidates can check post-wise education qualifications from the below table.

Bihar Teacher Educational Qualification for Higher Secondary Teacher (Class 11 to 12)

Candidates must have a Graduation/postgraduate degree and a B.Ed degree from a recognized university/institute. Post-wise education qualifications are tabulated below in the table.

Bihar Teacher Age Limit

Candidates should attend a minimum of 18/22 years to apply online for Bihar Teacher Vacancy 2026. For primary teacher posts, the minimum age should be 18 years, and for secondary and senior secondary minimum wage should be 21 years. Candidates can check the age m=limit from the below table.

Selection Process

The selection of the candidates for the Primary Teachers (Classes 1 to 5), Middle School Teachers (Classes 6 to 8), Secondary Teachers (Classes 9-10), and Senior Secondary Teachers (Classes 11-12) posts will be based on the written examination. Candidates who cleared the written examination will be called for the document verification process for the final selection process.

Exam Pattern

• The Bihar Teacher Examination will consist of 03 papers. Paper 1 for Language paper, Paper 2 for general studies, and Paper 3 from the subject chosen by the candidates.
• The exam will consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions.
• A total of 150 questions will be asked from 150 marks.
• There will be no negative marking.
• The time duration for the exam will be 2.30 hours.

BPSC TRE 4.0 Vacancy 2026 Salary

The selected candidates for Primary Teachers (Classes 1 to 5), Middle School Teachers (Classes 6 to 8), Secondary Teachers (Classes 9-10), and Senior Secondary Teachers (Classes 11-12) posts will be paid a monthly salary along with the allowance.
