Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced a total of 6061 vacancies for Head Masters in higher secondary schools. The authorities are expected to receive a large number of applications for the head teacher posts, so BPSC has decided to conduct a written examination for the selection of eligible candidates only. Understanding the BPSC Head Master Syllabus 2024 and the exam pattern is essential before beginning the exam preparation. The subject-wise topics that are to be prepared for the BPSC written examination will be provided in the syllabus. The marking scheme is also very important as it helps the candidates to devise a preparation strategy.
BPSC Head Master Selection Process 2024
For the selection of candidates for the posts of head teachers, a written examination will be conducted. No further stages will there in the BPSC Head Master selection process, candidates just have to score the minimum qualifying marks in the written examination to get selected. The written examination will be for a total of 150 marks. The BPSC Head Master exam will include two parts i.e. General Knowledge and the second part including B.Ed subjects. The final merit list will be released by the Bihar Public Service Commission after the written examination with the names of the selected candidates.
BPSC Head Master Exam Pattern 2024

The written exam will be for a total of 150 marks and will include multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
The examination will be conducted for a total duration of 2:30 hours.
The marks for each correct answer is 1 and there are no negative marking criteria in the BPSC Head Master exam.
