SHS Bihar Laboratory Technician Recruitment 2025 Eligibility
To be eligible for the Bihar SHS Lab Technician Recruitment 2025, candidates must have completed their 12th grade with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) as core subjects. Also, candidates should hold a Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in one of the following disciplines: Medical Microbiology, General Microbiology, Biotechnology, or Biochemistry. - Phenotypic tests: Culture and Drug Susceptibility Tests.
OR Option 2:
- B.Sc in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Life Science, Botany, or Zoology with DMLT.
- Minimum 3 years work experience in TB lab tests.
- Experience with Mycobacterium tuberculosis tests like:
- Genotypic tests: Nucleic Acid Amplification Tests, Line Probe Assay.

As per the Bihar SHS Lab Technician Notification, the exam pattern for Laboratory Technician is as follows:
- The CBT exam marks (out of 75) will be multiplied by 0.8 to calculate the weighted score.
- 0.25 marks will be subtracted for each wrong answer.
- The duration of the exam is 75 minutes
- Candidates with work experience as fully contractual lab technicians during COVID-19 prevention and control will get extra marks.
- 5 marks will be given for each year of experience, a maximum of 20 marks will be awarded
- Total marks = 80 (CBT) + 20 (Experience) = 100 marks.
