How to Calculate Marks Using RRB Technician Official Grade 1 & 3 Answer Key?
Step 1- Count your Correct Answers: Compare your responses (from your response sheet) with the official answer key. Count the total number of questions you answered correctly.
Step 2- Count your Wrong Answers: Count the total number of questions where your response does not match the official key.
Step 3- Apply the Formula
Expected score formula:
Expected Score = (Correct Answers × Marks for Each Correct Answer) − (Incorrect Answers × Penalty for Each Incorrect Answer)
For example, if the applicable marking scheme awards 1 mark for a correct answer and deducts one-third of a mark for an incorrect answer, a candidate with 70 correct answers and 15 incorrect answers would calculate the score as follows:
| Particulars | Calculation | Marks |
| Correct Answers | 70 × 1 | 70 |
| Incorrect Answers | 15 × 1/3 deducted | −5 |
| Expected Score | 70 − 5 | 65 |
