Eligibility Criteria for OAVS Recruitment 2026

Only the candidates who fulfill the required eligibility criteria are eligible to apply for OAVS Recruitment 2026 for Principal and Teacher posts. Candidates’ eligibility will be determined by the terms of educational qualifications and age limit.

For Principle

• Candidates must have passed a Master’s degree from a recognized University with at least 45% marks in aggregate.
• Have passed B.Ed. (a course prescribed by NCTE) from an institution recognized by NCTE and affiliated to a recognized University.
• Age Limit – 32 to 50 years

For PGT (Post Graduate Teacher)

• Candidates must have passed Two years Integrated Post Graduate Course with at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PH/ SEBC candidates) in the concerned subjects; (OR)
• Master’s degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/ SEBC/PH candidates) in any of the following subjects (AND)
• Must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (a course prescribed by NCTE) from an Institution recognized by NCTE and affiliated to a recognized University.
• Age Limit – 21 to 38 years

For TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher)

• Candidates must have passed a four-year integrated Degree course in the concerned subject from any Institution recognized by NCTE with at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PH/SEBC candidates);
• Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Arts & Science in the concerned subjects with 50% in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PH/SEBC candidates) along with a degree in Bachelor in Education/ 3 years integrated B.A B.Ed(a course prescribed by the NCTE) with 50% in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PH/SEBC candidates) from an Institution recognized by the NCTE and affiliated to a recognized University.
•  Proficiency in teaching in both Odia and English medium.
• Desirable – Knowledge of Computer Applications
• Age Limit – 21 to 38 years
