HVF Junior Technician Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for the Junior Technician posts, candidates must look for the eligibility criteria as prescribed by the Heavy Vehicles Factory (HVF). If any mistake is found in the application process, then candidates will be rejected at any stage of the selection process.

Educational Qualification

• NAC/NTC in Machinist for the Junior Technician Machinist.
• NAC/NTC/STC in Crane Operation (or) Class X or Equivalent Board examination with Driving License for Heavy Vehicles and with a minimum of 02 years’ experience in handling crane Operation for Junior Assistant (Operator Material Handling Equipment).
• NAC/NTC/STC in Rigger (or) Class X or equivalent Board Examinations with a minimum of 02 years’ experience in loading and unloading for Junior Technician (Rigger).
• NAC/NTC/STC in Forger and Heat Treater for Junior Assistant (Heat Treatment Operator).
• NAC/NTC/STC in Auto Electrician for Junior Technician (Fitter Auto Electric).
• Class X or Equivalent Board Examination with a minimum of 2 years of experience in shot blasting in an industry.

Age Limit

1. The upper age limit will not exceed 35 years for the candidates without any relaxation as of the closing date of the application form.
2. The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC (Non-creamy Layer) candidates in the post reserved for them.
3. The upper age limit relaxed by 10 years for persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD)

Candidates must pay the application fee only online. The application fee is Rs. 300 for every candidate. The application fee has been decided by the exam-conducting authority.

Heavy Vehicles Factory Junior Technician 2026 Selection Process

The selection process for HVF Junior Technician 2026 is followed by three stages. The first stage is shortlisting of candidates on the basis of academic merit, followed by a trade test to check if they are FIT or UNFIT, then document verification. Candidates should note that call letters will not be sent by post. All the details regarding the selection will be posted on the website.

Stage 1: Shortlisting of candidates on the basis of marks. NAC/NTC/STC marks will be considered for shortlisting.

Stage 2: Trade Test (Practical) will be only qualifying in nature without any marks. (Trade tests will be conducted only at Heavy Vehicle Factory, Avadi and Chennai.)

Stage 3: Shortlisted candidates after the stage 2 invited for document verification.

HVF Junior Assistant Recruitment 2026 Salary

Selected candidates after document verification will get the basic pay of Rs. 21,000/-, including industrial Dearness allowances (IDA) as per the industrial allowances rule. Apart from the IDA, selected candidates get 5% special allowances of basic pay with annual increments of 3%
