The Staff Selection Commission has officially announced the dates for the SSC CHSL Tier 1 Exam 2025. The tier 1 exam is scheduled from 12th November 2025 onwards at various exam centers. The complete details regarding the exam, like exam time, shift time, venue, and more, will be released along with the admit card. Candidates are strongly advised to arrive at their respective exam centres before the reporting time to ensure they do not miss the exam, as after the gate closing time, no candidate will be permitted to enter and take the exam.
SSC CHSL Shift Timings 2025
The SSC CHSL Tier 1 Exam 2025 will be conducted on multiple days, and the exam will be held in 3 shifts each day. Candidates will have a period of 1.5 hours before the start of the exam to check in at the center. The duration of each shift will be 1 hour. SSC CHSL Shift 1 (Morning Shift)
- Reporting Time: 7:30 AM

- Duration: Candidates are given a total of 60 minutes to solve the SSC CHSL Tier-I paper comprising 100 questions.
SSC CHSL Shift 2 (Afternoon Shift)
- Reporting Time: 11:30 AM
- Exam Start Time: 1:00 PM
- Exam End Time: 2:00 PM
- Duration: The duration of the SSC CHSL Tier 1 Exam will be 1 hour for 100 questions.
SSC CHSL Shift 3 (Evening Shift)
- Reporting Time: 3:30 PM
- Exam Start Time: 5:00 PM
- Exam End Time: 6:00 PM
- Duration: To answer all 100 questions in the tier 1 exam, candidates will have a time duration of 1 hour.

Guidelines to be followed for SSC CHSL Exam Day
On the SSC CHSL exam day, candidates must follow the guidelines as mentioned by the Staff Selection Commission. Candidates can check the guidelines as provided below.
- Print your admit card: A printed copy of the admit card is mandatory. It contains your exam details like date, time, and location.
- Bring a valid photo ID: Carry one of the original photo IDs listed on the admit card (e.g., Aadhaar, Voter ID, Passport, Driving License). The name and date of birth on the ID must match your admit card; otherwise, carry an additional proof like a 10th marksheet.
- Carry passport-sized photos: Bring two recent passport-sized photographs as per the specifications mentioned in the admit card, which will be needed for the attendance sheet.
- Check the dress code: Wear comfortable, light-colored, half-sleeve clothing with no large buttons or excessive pockets. Avoid jewelry and wear open footwear like sandals or slippers.
- Prepare your writing tools: Carry a simple black ballpoint pen, which may be needed for rough work or filling in details.
- Avoid prohibited items: Do not carry mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, smartwatches, calculators, pagers, or any other electronic gadgets. You are also prohibited from bringing books, notes, or other study materials.
- Arrive on time: Reach the exam center before the specified reporting time. Latecomers will not be allowed to appear for the exam.
- Follow instructions: Strictly adhere to all instructions given by the exam supervisor and invigilator.
- Sign and use your thumb impression: You will be required to sign on the attendance sheet and place your left thumb impression in the presence of the invigilator.
- Be prepared for live photos: A live photograph will be taken at the entry point, and possibly during and after the exam. Ensure you maintain a clear view of your face for the webcam.
