IOCL has released a total of 185 vacancies for three engineering disciplines: 152 posts for Chemical Engineering, 22 posts for Electrical Engineering, and 11 posts for Instrumentation Engineering. The category-wise distribution is as follows.

IOCL Engineer Selection Process 2025

The selection process for IOCL Engineer in Chemical, Electrical, and Instrumentation consists of the following stages:

• CBT marks
• Group Discussion (GD) & Group Task (GT)
• Personal Interview (PI)

Candidates will be shortlisted for Group Discussion (GD), Group Task (GT), and Personal Interview (PI) based on their CBT marks (out of 100). Only those candidates who qualify in all three stages, CBT, GD/GT, and PI will be considered for the final merit list.

IOCL Engineer Exam Pattern 2025

The exam for IOCL Engineers will be conducted in computer-based mode, the exam pattern is as follows:

• The examination for engineers consists of 100 questions of 100 marks
• +1 mark for each correct answer
• 0.25 negative marking for wrong answers
• The duration of the exam is 150 minutes

IOCL Engineer Salary 2025

Candidates selected as Engineers/Officers will get a monthly basic pay of Rs. 50,000 in the pay scale of Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 1,60,000. The total gross salary (including PRP) is approximately Rs. 17.7 lakhs per year. Along with the salary, they will get extra perks like, HRA or Subsidized Housing (based on posting location), Medical Facilities for self and family, Gratuity, Provident Fund (PF), Group Personal Accident Insurance, Leave Encashment, LTC / LFA (Leave Travel benefits) and others.
