WBMSC is scheduled to conduct the Assistant Engineer Examination on Sunday, 18th January 2026, in Kolkata. To appear in the examination, candidates have to download the WBMSC AE Admit Card 2026 by using their registration number. After downloading the admit card, candidates can check the exam center and other details and plan as per the schedule. A total of 82 eligible candidates will be selected through this recruitment in the disciplines of Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering.

Steps to Download the West Bengal AE Admit Card 2026

Follow these steps to download the WBMSC Assistant Engineer Hall Ticket 2026 from the official website. Candidates must print 2-3 copies of the hall ticket for the examination scheduled for 18th January 2026.

• Visit the official website of West Bengal Municipal Service Commission (WBMSC), www.mscwb.org.
• On the homepage, go to the “Admit Card” Section.
• After clicking, you see the download link in front of the “Recruitment to the post of Assistant Engineer (Civil) (Advt. No. 13 of 2025) under KMC”.
• Then select the post name and enter the registration number/application number.
• After submitting the details, your hall ticket appears on the screen.
• Save WB AE Admit Card 2026 PDF and print it for the examination.

WBMSC Assistant Engineer Exam Pattern 2026

The Assistant Engineer Examination (Civil) post will be conducted in Kolkata. The exam will be conducted in offline mode, consisting of 100 multiple-choice questions.

• Each question carries 2 marks
• 1 mark will be subtracted for each incorrect attempt
• The duration of the exam is 1.5 hours

Instructions to Be Followed on the WBMSC AE Exam Day

These instructions must be followed by the candidates who are going to appear for the WB Assistant Engineer Examination.

• Candidates will be frisked at entry points (separately for male and female candidates).
• The Commission will provide a black ball-point pen for filling the OMR answer sheet.
• Candidates must carry at least one original photo ID proof (Aadhaar, Voter ID, Passport, PAN Card, Driving Licence, or Bank Passbook with photo).
• Providing false information or making errors, such as wrong roll number or question booklet number will lead to rejection of candidature.
• Any violation of examination rules will lead to disqualification and debarment from future examinations.
• Prohibited Items: calculators, watches, earphones, Bluetooth devices, electronic gadgets, Bags, mobile phones, or communication devices are strictly prohibited inside the examination venue.
