The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has released the official notification for Vidhan Bhavan Rakshak (Council House Guard) and Vidhan Bhavan Agnik/Agnirakshak (Fireman/Fire Guard) Main Examination (Advt. No. 09-Exam/2026) on 10th April 2026. Through this recruitment, a total of 170 vacancies (120 for Vidhan Bhavan Rakshak and 50 for Vidhan Bhavan Agnik/Agnirakshak) are to be filled on a regular/temporary basis. Only the candidates who have qualified in the UPSSSC PET-2025 exam are eligible to apply for this recruitment.

UPSSSC Fireman Recruitment 2026: Eligibility Criteria
Before applying for the vacancies, candidates must fulfil the required eligibility criteria in terms of education qualification, age limit as mentioned in the official notification pdf.
Educational Qualification
The candidates must have passed the Intermediate (12th Class) examination from Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh or any government-recognized equivalent. Additionally, candidates must have appeared in PET-2025 and hold a valid scorecard issued by the Commission.
Additional (Desirable) Qualification
Preference shall be given to candidates who have served for a minimum of 02 years in the Pradeshik Sena (Territorial Army) OR who have obtained the National Cadet Corps ‘B’ Certificate.
