NDA 2 Marking Scheme 2026
The NDA examination has negative marking for incorrect answers. Therefore, candidates should not simply count the number of correct responses; they should calculate their score after considering incorrect attempts.
For each incorrect answer, a fraction of the marks assigned to that question is deducted.
The approximate calculation can be made using:
Probable Score = Marks for Correct Answers − Negative Marks for Incorrect Answers
Paper 1: Mathematics
- Total Questions: 120 objective questions
- Total Marks: 300 Marks
- Duration: 2.5 hours
- Marks per Correct Answer: +2.5 marks
- Negative Marking: -0.83 marks for every wrong answer
Paper 2: General Ability Test (GAT)
- Total Questions: 150 objective questions (50 for English, 100 for General Knowledge)
- Total Marks: 600 Marks
- Duration: 2.5 hours
- Marks per Correct Answer: +4 marks
- Negative Marking: -1.33 marks for every wrong answer
