UPSC ISS IES Exam 2025

The UPSC ISS IES examination will take place for 3 days starting on 20th June 2025. The examination will be held offline, candidates will be selected through the written examination. Those who qualify the written will be called for the final stage, the Interview, and further details are mentioned in the table.

Candidates except, Females, SC/ST, and Persons with disability must pay Rs. 200 after the completion of the application form. Without payment, your call letters would not be generated by the Union Public Service Commission.

Candidates who are interested in the UPSC IES ESS 2025 Examination must follow these steps to register your online application:

• Visit the official website of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), upsc.gov.in
• On the homepage, Click on the Examination Tab>>Active Examination>>Indian Economic Service – Indian Statistical Service Examination, 2025
• Then, click on the One-Time Registration (OTR) platform which is compulsory for first-time candidates.
• After registration, Log in with your Email Id and OTP Password followed by the verification code
• After entering the personnel details, upload the scanned copies of the required documents and pay the application fee
• Submit the application form, Once submitted changes will only be done during the correction window.

Educational Qualification

Age Limit (01/08/2025)

Candidates must be born between 2nd August 1995 and 1st August 2024. And, the relaxation in the age as per as the government guidelines.

UPSC IES ISS Exam 2025 Selection Process

Candidates must score or above the cutoff set by the Union Public Service Commission, after that, the candidates will be called for the Interview. The UPSC IES ISS Exam 2025 consists of a two-stage selection process:

1. Written examination
2. Interview

UPSC IES ISS Exam Pattern 2025

Union Public Service Commission has provided the examination structure, which includes the written exam of 1000 marks followed by the Interview of 200 marks. General studies and General English is a subjective type of papers for both services.

Indian Economic Service

All papers are subjective in nature in Indian Economic Services.

Indian Statistical Services

1. Statistics Paper I and Paper II- 80 Objective Type Questions for 200 marks for each and have to be completed in 120 minutes
2. Statistics Paper III and Paper IV- Descriptive
3. Paper IV has seven sections, candidates have to choose only two.
