UPPSC Agriculture Service Exam Pattern 2024

Candidates who have to appear for the UPPSC Agriculture prelims and mains examination should know the subject-wise marks and the number of questions that will be asked from each subject. This will help the candidates strategize which subject to prepare first and which needs more practice.

Prelims Exam Pattern

The preliminary examination for various UPPSS Agriculture posts includes questions based on 2 subjects and the exam will be conducted for a total of 300 marks, subject-wise details are provided below.

• There will be a total of 120 objective-type questions in the prelims exam.
• The examination will be conducted for 2 hours (120 minutes).
• 0.33 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer in the prelim examination.

Mains Exam Pattern

The main exam will include one compulsory subject and one optional subject and the questions included in the examination will be descriptive-type questions. The General Hindi & Essay subject will be conducted for a total of 50 marks and 2 hours duration, a detailed pattern is provided below.

UPPSC Agriculture Service Selection Process 2024

The selection of the candidates for UPPSC Agriculture posts will be done based on a three-stage selection process- prelims exam, main exam, and an interview. It is necessary for every candidate to score minimum qualifying marks at each stage for the final selection.

Prelims Examination:- The first for the UPPSC Agriculture Services examination is the prelims exam, candidates need to pass this examination for a total of 300 marks.

Mains Examination:- Shortlisted candidates after the prelims exam, will have to appear for the UPPPSC Agriculture mains exam. The exam will consist of 3 subjects including one one optional subject.

Interview:- After passing the prelims and mains exam, shortlisted candidates have to appear in the interview round. Final selection of the candidates will be done based on the interview.
