- Visit the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test official website i.e. www.ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
- On the homepage of UGC NET, click on the link that reads “UGC NET June 2025: Click Here to Download City Intimation”
- A new login page appears on the screen.
- Enter your login details i.e. Application No. and Date of Birth.
- Fill security pin as shown in the image and click on the submit tab.

UGC NET 2025 Exam Details
The University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) or NTA UGC NET is a national-level exam conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for only Assistant Professor or both Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor posts in Indian universities and colleges. The UGC NET 2025 exam will be held for a total of 85 subjects. The candidates can get the difference between these two positions below:
- Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) – Candidates who qualify for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) are eligible to apply for roles as both Assistant Professor and Research Scholar. Research Scholars receive a stipend of Rs. 37,000 per month for the first two years, increasing to Rs. 42,000 per month from the third year, to support their research in a chosen field. JRF-qualified candidates can also pursue a career as an Assistant Professor in various universities while simultaneously working as a Research Scholar.
- Assistant Professors: The candidates qualifying for the UGC NET eligibility test for the posts of Assistant Professor can apply for the position to teach in different universities/colleges. The candidates can also apply for a PhD. However, the candidates qualifying for the PhD will not be eligible to receive any stipend from the Government to complete their PhD.
