UGC NET Apply Online Extended till 23 May 2026, Submit Your Online Form Now

National Testing Agency (NTA) has invited online applications from candidates who wish to apply for the University Grant Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET June 2026 Examination). Previously, the last date was 20th May 2026, but the NTA has extended the last date to 23rd May 2026. Interested candidates who haven’t applied yet are advised to submit their applications through the official website https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in/ or the direct link provided below in the article.

Candidates who have not yet submitted their forms have a good advantage of the extended deadline to complete the registration, upload documents, and pay the application fee. Candidates who have already registered but have not completed their fee payment are also advised to log in and complete the pending process at the earliest to avoid last-minute technical glitches.

As per the latest announcement, the UGC NET Apply Online last date has been officially extended for the UGC NET June 2026 Examination till 23rd May 2026. The decision was taken after the National Testing Agency (NTA) received multiple requests from candidates seeking more time to complete the application process.

Candidates should also carefully check all details entered in the application form before final submission. Providing incorrect information leads to rejection on the online form. After the closing of the registration process, the commission will open the application correction window from 25th to 27th June 2026. 

UGC NET Application Fee

To complete the application form, candidates have to pay the application fee in online mode. If a candidate fails to pay the application fee, their application will be considered incomplete and will not be allowed to appear for the exam.

  • General/Unreserved Rs. 1150/-
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC)- NCL Rs. 600/-
  • SC/ST/PwD/Transgender Rs. 325/-
