Candidates applying for ongoing SSC examinations such as SSC CHSL, SSC JE and SSC CPO need to follow the photograph and signature specifications mentioned in the respective notification. How to Resize SSC Signature?

1. Sign clearly on a plain sheet of paper.
2. Scan or take a clear image of the signature.
3. Crop unnecessary blank space.
4. Resize the image to approximately 6 cm × 2 cm.
5. Compress the file to 10–20 KB.
6. Save it in JPEG/JPG format.
7. Check that the signature is clear and readable before uploading.

Live Photograph

The SSC application module is designed to capture the candidate’s photograph while filling out the form. Candidates should:

• Sit or stand in front of the camera
• Use a plain background
• Ensure proper lighting
• Keep the camera at eye level
• Look directly at the camera
• Keep the entire face inside the camera frame
• Not wear a cap
• Not wear spectacles or sunglasses
• Ensure the photograph is clear and frontal
• If the captured photograph does not meet the prescribed requirements, candidates should recapture it before proceeding.

Signature

Candidates must upload a scanned signature in JPEG format.

• Approximate dimensions: 4.0 cm × 2.0 cm
• The signature should be clear and legible
• Blurred or illegible signatures may lead to rejection of the application.
