The test for stenographers has three parts an English Shorthand–Computer Typing Test, an objective-type MCQ test, and an English Computer Typing Test.

Part A: English Shorthand Computer Typing Test

• Speed: 80 words per minute (320 words)

• Qualifying Marks: 85

• Typing: 4 minutes
• Passage Revision: 7 minutes
• Transcription: 15 minutes

Part B: MCQ-Based Objective Test

• English Language & Grammar: 30 marks
• Computer Awareness: 20 marks

Part C: English Typing Test
