OPSC OCS 2024 Eligibility

Candidates are required to check the eligibility standard for Group A and Group B posts before applying for the Odisha Civil Service Examination 2023. If candidates fail to complete the eligibility standard their application forms and selection will be rejected. OPSC OCS Education Qualification

The candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from any State or Nationally Recognised University or a Deemed to be a University under section 3 of UGC. The candidates must be able to read, write and speak the Odia language and have:

• Passed Middle School Examination with Odia as a language or a subject;
• Passed HSC or Equivalent with Odia as a medium of examination in a non-language subject;
• Passed Odia as a language subject in the final examination of class 8th in school or educational institute

OPSC OCS Age Limit (as on 01/01/2023)

The candidate should fall within the age limit of 21 years to 38 years (unreserved category). The candidates must have not born before 2nd January 1985 and not later than 1st January 2002. For candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC/Ex-Servicemen/Women category, the maximum age limit is 43 years, and for PwDs whose permanent disability is 40% the upper age limit is 48 years.

OPSC OCS 2024 Selection Process

The selection process for the Odisha Civil Service Examination 2023 for various Group A and Group B posts includes the preliminary examination, main examination, and personality test/interview. The prelims examination will be a screening test and marks obtained in the prelims examination will not be required for the final merit list. OPSC OCS Prelims Exam Pattern 2024

• The Preliminary Examination will consist of 02 papers of objective-type multiple-choice questions.
• Each paper consists of 200 marks.
• The exam will be divided into 2 papers (Paper 1 & Paper 2) of 2 hours each.
• Paper 2 is qualifying in nature and candidates are required to score above 33% to qualify for the main exam.
• There will be a negative marking, for every wrong answer, 1/3rd will be deducted.

OPSC OCS Mains Exam Pattern 2024

• OPSC OCS’s main written examination consists of 2 parts. Part 1 and Part 2.
• Part 1 for Odia and English Language for qualifying and marks obtained in these papers will not be counted for ranking.

• Each paper shall be 03 hours in duration.

OPSC OCS Salary 2024

All the provisionally selected appointed candidates will be offered an attractive monthly salary along with a large amount of allowance and perks. The candidates who will be selected for the Group A post will be paid Rs. 56,100/- and the salary for Grup B posts will be paid 44,900 in Pay Level 12 Cell-1 in the Pay Matrix under Rules-3 of ORSP Rules, 2027.
