OPaL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Notification Out, Apply Online for 80 Posts

ONGC Petro-additions Limited (OPaL), a subsidiary company of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), has provided a career opportunity for candidates through a recruitment drive offering 80 vacancies in the Apprentice posts. OPal has already started the online application for Trade certificate holders and B.Com graduates from 24th April 2026 onwards. Applicants selected through this recruitment will be engaged for a period of 1 year under the Apprentices Act 1961/1973. Applicants have to choose only one trade/discipline/degree, as vacancies are tentative and can change during the recruitment process. OPaL Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates applying for OPaL Apprentices recruitment must review all the eligibility conditions in terms of educational qualification and age limit. Only those applicants with the required qualification in the same trade/discipline will be considered for apprenticeship training.

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have acquired their qualification through a full-time regular mode in the year 2022 or later.
• Candidates must hold the Trade/Degree Certificate from respective ITIs/Technical Institutions recognized by the State Board of Technical Education (SBTE)/State or National Council for Vocational Training (GCVT/ NCVT).
• Applicants who have completed their qualification through Distance Learning mode, Part-time mode, or Correspondence Mode are not eligible.
• Candidates who have undergone training or job experience are not eligible.

Age Limit (as on 15/04/2026)

Candidates must be at least 18 years of age. The maximum allowed for general category candidates is 24 years, and the candidate’s date of birth must fall between 15th April 2002 and 15th April 2008. For reserved category candidates, OPaL has provided age relaxations that are discussed below:

Candidates must submit the online application forms for the OPaL Apprentice recruitment at the NATS or NAPS portal only. Candidates applying for AOCP, Fitter, Electrician, and IMCP trade/discipline must at NAPS website. Those applying for the rest of the trade/disciplines must use the NATS website. Candidates can apply for a location only if they meet the domicile or qualification criteria for a specified district or state. In case of multiple applications, only one trade and one location will be allotted as per OPaL’s decision.

Steps to Apply for OPaL Apprentice Recruitment 2026

Candidates who wish to apply for the recruitment must complete the application through the designated portals only. OPaL has not mentioned any application fee in its official notification for any category of candidate. To apply online for the trade/discipline, candidates must follow the steps provided below:

1. Candidates who wish to apply for the ITI Trade Certificate must use the NAPS portal at https://apprenticeshipindia.gov.in/
2. Candidates holding a relevant degree must apply at the NATS portal of https://nats.education.gov.in/
3. In case candidates are new to the website, they must create a new account on the respective websites.
4. Candidates must apply by using OPaL’s Establishment ID:

5. Then fill the application form with the required personal, educational, and contact details carefully.
6. Upload required documents in the prescribed format, such as a photograph, signature, and qualification certificate.
7. Candidates must review all details and then submit the application form.
8. Then, download and print the application confirmation form.

OPaL Selection Process 2026

The selection of candidates for OPaL Apprentice Recruitment is purely based on merit. At first, all candidates who have applied will be shortlisted based on their marks obtained in the qualifying exams (ITI/Degree). Then, the reservation will be applied for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD categories. Additionally, 20% of total seats are reserved for applicants from Ambetha and the Suva villages of Vagra Taluka. OPaL Apprentice Salary 2026

Candidates selected through the OPaL Apprentice recruitment will receive a monthly stipend as per the Apprentice Act 1961 during their training period. The stipend will be different for trade and graduate apprentices. Along with a stipend, OPaL will also provide safety gear, such as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), during the apprenticeship. However, OPaL will neither provide any accommodation facilities, nor TA/DA, nor boarding expenses. The stipend will be credited through the apprentice’s Aadhaar-linked bank account, so having a PAN Card is mandatory. Candidates will be engaged for apprentice training and then released after completion of training.
