NEET PG 2026 Exam Date Out, Exam To Be Held on 30 August

National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has officially announced the exam date for the country’s most important postgraduate medical entrance exams, NEET-PG 2026 and NEET-MDS 2026. As per the official notice, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET-PG 2026) will be conducted on 30th August 2026 (Sunday). 

NEET PG 2026 Exam Date Out

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Postgraduate), also known as NEET PG, is a national-level entrance examination in India conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) for determining the eligibility of candidates for admission to postgraduate medical programmes in government or private medical colleges.

NEET-PG exams will be conducted on 30th August 2026 in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode at various examination centres across India. As the exam schedule is out, the medical aspirants across India can begin planned and structured preparation for the upcoming computer-based tests. The NEET PG Computer-Based Examination was conducted for a duration of 3 hours and 30 minutes.

Why is the NEET PG exam conducted?

The NEET PG exam is conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) for admission to postgraduate medical education for medical graduates in India. Its purpose is to fairly, transparently, and uniformly evaluate the aptitude and knowledge of MBBS graduates. Admission to courses such as Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Surgery (MS), PG diploma, Diplomate of National Board (DNB), Doctorate of National Board (DrNB), and NBEMS diploma is granted through NEET PG.
